I recently visited the Costa in Derwen, Bridgend CF32 9SU with a group of friends, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The customer service was poor, as the staff did not bring our order to the table and instead asked us to wait and collect it ourselves. Furthermore, one of the baristas did not allow us to enjoy our own sweets, claiming it was against the store policy. This policy is unreasonable and negatively impacted our experience. We left the shop feeling very sad, and it was the first time I have experienced such poor customer service at a Costa coffee shop. I've been to many Costa shops during my life and it was the first time that I have been told that I don't have permission to have my own sweets. I hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and takes appropriate measures to improve the customer experience at this location. It's important that the staff is trained, approachable, smiles, and polite to provide better customer service and that policies are reasonable and don't negatively affect the customer experience.
